ANNUAL WALKATHONS – 2008

AVON – Saturday, September 27

For one morning and 1, 3 or 5 miles, you have the opportunity to dramatically impact the lives of women and their families affected by ovarian cancer. By participating in our 9th Annual Walkathon Events you help support ovarian cancer research and early detection programs.

Please join us at any of these New Jersey locations:

• The Morris Walkathon – Loantaka Brook Reservation in Morristown
• The Lyndhurst Walkathon – Richard W. DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst
• The Avon Walkathon– on the boardwalk in Avon-by-the-Sea

Refreshments, entertainment and great fun make this a special morning while increasing awareness and providing funding for ovarian cancer research. Walk in memory of or in support of a loved one, and join together with family, friends and co-workers to form a team.

Registration is from 8:15am – 9am, with the Walkathon beginning at 9:15am.

On Sunday, September 14 th Loantaka Brook Reservation will again be the site for KOH’s annual Morristown walkathon.
 
 
 
 
 
The Castle family will again be anchoring KOH’s Lyndhurst walk on Sunday, September 21 st. Plan to join them!

Sorry, no dogs are allowed on the boardwalk
Directions: From the Garden State Parkway: Take Exit 100-B (Rte. 33 East). Take Rte. 33 East all the way to the end, which is the traffic light at Main Street in Bradley Beach. Take a right and follow Main St. for about 1.5 miles into Avon. Take a left onto Woodland Avenue and stay on it to Ocean Avenue.

Loantaka Brook Reservation, Morristown, New Jersey


FROM: I-287 NORTH Traveling NORTH on 287, take Exit 35 and turn RIGHT onto South Street and proceed 1⁄2 mile. Seaton Hackney Stables and Loantaka Brook Recreation Area are on the LEFT.


FROM: Route 124 EAST or WEST Proceed to South Street, follow South Street. Seaton Hackney Stables and Loantaka Brook Recreation Area will be on the LEFT about 1⁄2 mile past Woodland Avenue. To reach Loantaka Brook Reservation on Kitchell Road, continue on South Street to end and turn LEFT onto Spring Valley Road. The third road on the LEFT is Kitchell Road. Loantaka Brook Reservation is on the LEFT.
FROM: I-287 SOUTH Traveling SOUTH on Route 287, take Exit 35. At the traffic light at the end of the ramp make a right onto Madison Avenue. Travel of a mile to the traffic light and turn LEFT onto South Street. Follow South Street for approximately 3⁄4 of a mile, pass Seaton Hackney Stables on the LEFT. The entrance to Loantaka Brook Reservation will be on the LEFT.
